The Classic Whale Watching is a 2,5-3,5 hr. family-friendly sightseeing tour that takes you into Eyjafjörður where you can experience the unparalleled comfort and stability of our ship whilst viewing the sights of the fjord under the commentary of one of our excellent guides. We will teach you all about the whales and nature in the surrounding area as well as answering any questions!
At the northcentral coast of Iceland the 60 km long and narrow fjord of Eyjafjörður stretches inland. There, nutritious and cold waters from the north are carried with coastal currents inside the deep fiord. The rivers responsible for providing this coastal area with freshwater runoff, loaded with various nutrients, are Svarfaðardalsá river and Hörgá river to the west, the Eyjafjarðará river at the bottom of the fiord and Fnjóská river to the east.
This 1,5-2,5 hr. Express whale watching is a small group tour on custom made 12 seater RIB boats, that can get you closer and faster to the optimal whale watching areas. This means a bigger chance of spotting whales, dolphins and bird life with out disturbing any natural behaviours. We guarantee an intimate and up close experience in Iceland's longest fjord!

We encountered a total of four Humpback Whales by Grenivík today. We had close encounters with them, all while we could see more Humpback Whale blows in the distance further north!
Today’s tour was cancelled due to unfavorable weather conditions in the fjord.
We encountered five Humpback Whales outside of Hauganes today. One was swimming a bit north of us, but we could regularly spot the blow in the distance. We had great and close encounters with the other four Humpbacks, swimming in two pairs!

Today, we had very good weather conditions and we saw twelve Humpback Whales by Hauganes! Additionally, one Minke Whale was briefly spotted on the way back by the green buoy.
We encountered a total of five Humpback Whales outside of Hauganes today. Four of them were even swimming together. What an amazing day in the fjord!
We had a great tour today, encountering one Humpback Whale outside of Hjalteyri in cold, but good weather conditions!
We saw two Humpback Whales north of Hjalteyri today, spy hopping in between the ice! Amazing day.
On today’s tour, we encountered three Humpback Whales and two Minke Whales north of Hjalteyri in cold, but very calm weather conditions!
Today’s tour had to be discontinued due to unfavorable weather conditions in the fjord. The safety and comfort of our passengers is our highest priority and we sailed back into the harbor safely.
We sailed out and encountered three Humpback Whales swimming together south of Hrísey - one of which was a very familiar Aretha Frankfin.
We spotted Harbor Porpoises in several locations between Svalbarðseyri and Hjalteyri, but unfortunately no other cetaceans, so we offered everyone a complimentary ticket, allowing them to join us again for free in Akureyri or Reykjavík!
We went straight north and found the injured Humpback Whale that was going around as usual, somewhat in circles. Another highlight of the tour was an incredible, and full size rainbow just behind us.
We started by spotting a Minke Whale south of Svalbardseyri. After a few encounters we sailed north and saw 5 Humpback Whales all coming up at different times.
